This is one of the most significant adult social care leadership roles in local government. Leeds is the UK's second largest local authority by population, serving more than 820,000 residents across a diverse and complex city. This role is about much more than leading Adult Social Care. As our statutory Director of Adult Social Services and a member of the Corporate Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the whole council. You will provide leadership across a demanding and high-profile portfolio while also helping to drive wider organisational transformation, financial sustainability and inclusive growth.

A particular focus for the role will be strengthening health integration across the city. Leeds has strong and trusted relationships with NHS and voluntary sector partners, and we are ambitious about how we continue to develop integrated services that improve outcomes and reduce inequalities. You will be a key ambassador for the council within the wider health and care system, helping to bring partners together around a shared vision for Leeds.
