Three Roles. One City. Thousands of Futures.

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in joining Leeds at this important moment for children and families.

Leeds is a remarkable city - large, diverse, ambitious and deeply committed to improving the lives of children and young people. I am proud of our strong values, our skilled and dedicated workforce, and our long‑standing Child Friendly ethos, which places relationships, inclusion and lived experience at the heart of everything we do.

We are now entering a significant new phase of reset, building a senior leadership team that works corporately, thinks system‑wide and leads collectively with clarity, confidence and purpose. These Chief Officer roles sit at the heart of that ambition.

This is a significant opportunity to help shape the direction of a complex and high‑profile system at scale. Whether you are leading Family Help and Social Work, SEND and Inclusion, or Commissioning and Governance, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening how we work across the council, with partners and with communities - ensuring support is well‑coordinated, preventative, sustainable, and focused on delivering the best possible experience and outcomes for children, young people and families across Leeds.

We are looking for leaders with credibility, humility and the ability to bring others with them. Leaders who value partnership, understand political contexts and are motivated by shared purpose. In return, we offer the chance to work in a city with real energy, strong professional commitment, and the courage to keep improving.

I look forward to welcoming colleagues who want to lead with purpose and help shape the next chapter for children and families in Leeds. If you are ready to make a lasting contribution at scale, we would be delighted to hear from you.
